Jim Morrison spent the early years of his life in the Bronx, NY before his family moved to the New York City suburb of Brewster, NY, where he grew up. Jim eventually wound up in Central New York to attend Syracuse University, where he studied Broadcast Journalism and Political Science. He received a Bachelor of Arts from both the prestigious S.I .Newhouse School of Public Communication and the Maxwell School of Citizenship.
While attending Syracuse University, Jim was the Sports Director of WJPZ FM, the only student owned and operated radio station in the nation. Jim provided play-by-play coverage for Syracuse basketball, and produced / co-hosted the first-ever edition of Sports Line 89, the University’s first LIVE sports talk radio show. Mojo’s Madness was a column, written by Jim, that appeared in the University’s daily newspaper, the Daily Orange.
Prior to his arrival in the Charlotte, NC market, Jim worked on Long Island at Champions/ESPN radio. His midday show, “Mojo’s Madness”, was one of the station’s most popular shows along with “Jets Insider Gameday” which he co-hosted prior to the station’s play-by-play coverage of NY Jets Football.
In addition to his Jets coverage at Champions/ESPN radio, Jim spent six years writing and co-hosting a popular “Jets Insider Radio” Podcast for JetsInsider.com, the most heavily trafficked NFL fan website since 1999.
Jim can now be heard for the second year on Sunday morning’s hosting “Redskins Gameday” LIVE from Dale Earnhardt Jr’s Whisky River Bar on FM 101.1 and AM 1450 WGNC, the radio affiliate for Washington Redskins football in the Carolina’s.
Mojo can also be heard for the second season doing play-by-play for select Winthrop University women’s basketball games. In addition to Winthrop women’s basketball, Jim has done play-by-play for the Big South softball championship tournament on the Big South television network.
You can also hear his voice on FM 101.1 and AM 1450 WGNC providing play-by-play for the Gaston County High School football and basketball game of the week.
Jim completed in his fifth season working on the media relations Gameday staff of the Charlotte Knights, the Chicago White Sox AAA affiliate. He also completed his first season contributing to the Gameday staff of the Kannapolis Intimidators, the White Sox Single-A affiliate.
The former co-host of New York Sports Talk heard on ESPN 730, now his voice can be heard every Saturday morning as the co-host of The Sports Brunch with Mojo and Kuveikis..
In addition to his broadcast work, Jim can be found contributing articles to the Gaston Gazette where he has covered the Carolina Panthers Super Bowl run, the Charlotte Hornets, the Triple-A All Star Game and Home Run Derby, the Gastonia Grizzlies of the collegiate Coastal Plain League, as well as American Legion baseball and various other scholastic sports throughout the year.

Originally hailing from New York, Kuveikis is a die-hard Yankee, Jets and Rangers Fan. However after several years in Central Florida during his teens, the Orlando Magic is now the team he roots for.
Kuveikis began his sports broadcasting career in 2008 when he graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. He took his first radio job at WLIE in New York and later on entered the sports world in Charlotte, NC as a producer at CBS Sports Radio.
In 2010 he went on to co-host The Sports Sound Off on ESPN Radio in Charlotte, NC for almost three years. Now his voice can be heard every Saturday morning as the co-host of The Sports Brunch with Mojo and Kuveikis.
