Head Coach Steve Clifford

On tonight’s game: ” Obviously it’s a good win. We got off to a good start and then the guys, when the bench came in, in the first quarter, they gave us a good lift. They (Orlando) obviously didn’t play as well as they had been. hey had been playing very well. They’re like us, they played a bunch of games in a row, so I’m sure if you talk to them, they weren’t happy with the way they shot the ball, their effort, but we played well. Obviously, it’s an important win. Hopefully we can play well tomorrow.

On what he liked about the game: “I like the face we started well, good energy, good purpose of play. In the second quarter, when the starters came back in, it wasn’t good, but I thought the third quarter and the whole second half, we did a good job. We had the right attitude, the right approach. Sometimes being up 18 or 19 points is the worst place to be. We haven’t been good this year in this situations, so playing well with the lead was good to see.”

Guard Kemba Walker

On tonight’s win: “It was important, we just wanted to establish our play early on and do what we can. We played rally great tonight, we made plays. Defensively, we were right on top of everything so it was a great overall team win for us.”

On the team’s stretch of home game through the rest of March: ” They’re really important. Home games are always important, so we’re just trying to take care of business here at home.”

Forward Marvin Williams

On what he said to Bismack Biyombo after the game about his big dunk: “He invited me to Africa earlier this year to help out with some of the things that he does over there, so I was asking him, am I still invited after that dunk. I hope he doesn’t take my invitation away, I want to help out, man.”
